 Horse-mounted postal station 1868 The beginning of postal communication in the region by wheeled tarantass carriages was laid in 1864. By order of the authorities, postal communication was a natural service of local residents and the maintenance of each postal station was entrusted to the head of a nearby nomadic Kyrgyz clan, who received horses, carts, harness and money for the maintenance of coachmen. But the carts and harness were soon destroyed by wild horses and coachmen, and the message again turned into a pack one until 1868, when little by little it began to be put in order “through the search for free mail carriers and the return of the auction.” From the same time, the construction of postal stations began and the first settlements (Belovodskoye, Novo-Troitskoye, Pishpek, Dmitrievskoye, Ivanovskoye) were founded next to these stations, and therefore are located 20 kilometers from each other - at a distance of one postal stage. The postal communication of the city of Verny through Tokmak and Pishpek with Tashkent was established in 1867; this route required 10 days.
