A PLACE IN THE CITY'S HISTORY
Town house on Boulevard street
Pishpek
Town house on the east side of the street. Boulevard above Tashkent. Beginning of the twentieth century. Even in the central part of the city, some houses had the appearance of rural buildings and looked like temporary huts. They were built from adobe or on wooden frames filled with clay (gaulak) with reed roofs. Often such buildings were unauthorized and were erected during times of wars and revolutions. And if such houses became permanent dwellings, then the owners decorated them by hanging carved cornices, platbands, and shutters on the windows.
