Victory Park was founded back in Soviet times in the 80s of the last century. The park is located in former forest plantations, the so-called “green lungs” of the city and is limited by the Southern Highway, Baytik Baatyr Street and the Ala-Archa River. In Victory Park there is the Victory Monument, the Alley of Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Alley of Border Guards, and the Monument to the Memory of Leningrad Siege Survivors. Victory Park was named after Hero of the Soviet Union Dair Asanov (1922-2009).
