Archa-Bishik

Residential area Archa-Bishik Residential areas are new buildings in the capital, where more than 300 thousand citizens live today. In total, 48 new residential areas have appeared around the city since 1991. During the years of socio-economic crisis, people from densely populated areas traveled to Bishkek in the hope of getting land and finding work. The capital began to become overgrown with a ring of unauthorized buildings. The government was powerless against the onslaught of internal migration and disorderly construction. Most of the new buildings were erected on sites not recommended for construction due to natural and technical conditions, and the buildings were erected from fragile materials and do not comply with basic urban planning standards. The city has included almost all new buildings within its borders and, together with their population, is solving the problems of creating an urban environment in residential areas; roads, water supply and sewerage systems are being built, schools and medical institutions are being built. Residential areas are becoming part of our urban civilization.
