The monument was erected in 1974 on the south side of the Opera and Ballet Theater. On a pedestal made of red granite there is a bronze figure of an akyn with a komuz in his hand. The height of the monument is 7 meters. Sculptor G. Aitiev, architect A. Isaev. Toktogul Satylganov (1864 - 1933) - poet, singer, musician.
