In the 50s, on the continuation of the “Panfilov Park-Oak Park” axis, the construction of the Kyrgyz State Opera and Ballet Theater was completed (architects A.I. Laburenko, P.P. Ivanov). The construction was so complex and responsible that a special construction site was created under the “Kirgizstroy” trust (chief N.P. Provorov, chief engineer V.S. Gontar). On May 15, 1955, the theater opened. The majestic building was decorated with paintings by G.A. Aitiev, A.N. Mikhalev, L.A. Ilyina, frescoes by F. Stukoshin and K. Koshkin, lamp figures by O. Minkova, paintings by L. Deimant and L. A. Ignatiev. The pediment of the theater was decorated with monumental sculptures by O.M. Manuilova. They complete the ensemble of this grandiose building, emphasizing its significance as a temple of art. In the luminous scenery, A.V. Arefieva and A. Moldakhmatova shone with the skill of Bibisara Beishenalieva, Rina Chokoeva, Saira Kiizbaeva, Bolot Minzhylkiev. Sculptures and lamps by Olga Minuylova.
