It was equipped with scrabbling and fulling machines for processing hemp and jute into hemp. Hemp was used to make ropes, ropes, fire hoses, twine, and various types of fishing nets. Hemp fabrics were used in navigation as sails. During the war, the hemp and jute factory had a mechanical section where mine casings were made. In 1982, the factory had 894 employees.
