1878 Demolished in 2012 One of the first buildings of Pishpek, barracks for the local military command, was located on the southwestern outskirts of the city. There was also an area for military formations and exercises, and an infirmary. The military team consisted of 150 people with a military commander, who is also the commandant of the city, and two junior officers. The military team was staffed partly by local residents, partly sent from European Russia.

Initially, Togolok Moldo street was called Kazarmennaya, Logvinenko street - Bolnichnaya, Bokonbaev street - Lagernaya, because almost along its entire length from Frunze-Sudeiskaya street to the southern outskirts this territory of the city was occupied by military buildings - barracks, an infirmary, military squares, training grounds and camps. During World War II, the Infantry School and the Odessa Pilot School were located here. Military units trained in Frunze defended Moscow and fought near Kursk. Graduates of the school V.V. Stepanenko and V.P. Petrishchev became Heroes of the Soviet Union. In 1947, the pilot school was renamed the Frunze Military Aviation School of Pilots (FVAUL). Famous pilots trained here, including cosmonaut No. 3 Andriyan Nikolaev, who graduated from the school in 1954. In 1956, the school received the status of a training aviation regiment of the USSR Central Courses for the training and improvement of aviation personnel. Pilots from Africa, Asia, and Latin America were trained here. Among its graduates are the President of Egypt Mohammed Hosni Mubarak, the President of Syria Hafez Assad, air marshals of India Dilbah Singh and Mozambique Joao Bernardo, commander of the Yemeni Air Force Ahmed Huley, pilot-cosmonaut from Mongolia Gurragcha. From 1957 to 1992, the school trained 21,682 people from 54 countries in 110 aviation specialties.
