Scriabin's House

Academician Konstantin Ivanovich Scriabin (1878-1972), Russian and Soviet biologist, Hero of Socialist Labor, laureate of the Lenin and Stalin Prizes, lived in this house. One of the founders of the Kyrgyz branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences and the first Chairman of the presidium of this branch. Academicians A.N. visited Scriabin’s house. Bakh, A.A. Borisyak, V.A. Engelhardt - everyone who stood at the origins of the creation of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan. Scriabin's house was not much different from the city houses of that time. Next to the tall pyramidal poplars, the house seemed small, but it had several spacious rooms and a large open veranda overlooking the courtyard garden. Built at the very beginning of the twentieth century, wooden in its core, with plastered and whitewashed walls, the house, as they now say, was environmentally friendly. Large tall windows framed with carved frames looked out onto a quiet green area of ​​the city. That’s why representatives of our party and scientific elite lived here nearby in neighboring houses.
