Dzerzhinsky Boulevard
Dzerzhinsky Boulevard. Photo of the 60s Dzerzhinsky Avenue boulevard type. It stretches from south to north from the station to the Avenue named after the 50th anniversary of the Kyrgyz SSR, the length is 2.2 km. Until 1924 - st. Boulevard, then st. Komsomolskaya, since 1933 - st. Dzerzhinsky, since 1960 - a boulevard under the same name, since 1979 - an avenue. Laid down in 1883 by A.M. Fetisov, like an alley of 2 rows of silver poplar from the street. Tashkentskaya (50th Anniversary of the Kyrgyz SSR Avenue) to st. District (Kirova). By the beginning of 1904, the poplars on this part of the boulevard were replaced by 2 rows of oak trees, which have survived to this day. By 1912 the boulevard and its 4-row alleys reached the street. Upper (Bokonbaeva St.), and by the opening of the railway. station (1938) a station park was laid out. In 1936-56, reconstruction was carried out: the boulevard was expanded from 24 to 105 m, lawns and flower beds appeared, additional tree planting was carried out, and the central alleys were covered with asphalt. On the boulevard, buildings of banks, the prosecutor's office and the Central Election Commission, the Ala-Too k/t, the Ak-Suu sparkling water pavilion, hotels, residential buildings and other buildings were built, monuments to V.I. Lenin, M.V. Frunze, J. Bokonbaev, Z. Kainazarova and A.I. Ivanitsyn were erected. In 1982, reconstruction of green spaces was carried out. Memorial plaques were installed on the houses where scientists (I.K. Akhunbaev and I.A. Batmanov - No. 40, E.A. Rozova - No. 16) and culture (B. Beishenalieva, M. Ryskulov - No. 43, A. Maldybaev and K. Malikov - No. 7) lived. House No. 30 housed the Kyrgyz branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences and its presidium, which was headed by K.I. from 1943 to 1952. Scriabin. A memorial plaque informs about this.
